Last Wednesday, I joined the Vietnam: Emerging Market & Manufacturing Powerhouse webinar organized by the World Trade Center in Tacoma, Washington. There were about three speakers discussing Vietnam’s manufacturing rise, key FDI attractiveness, demographics, infrastructure, education and labor wages. Overall, Vietnam is a hot market for manufacturing and exports.
Binh Dinh province, a program sponsor is located on Vietnam’s south eastern coast, had representatives who highlighted reasons to consider their region which includes: low cost of living, convenient location to ports and terminals, as well as home to a number of trade schools. Quy Nhon, a well city in the province, is known for its coastal attractions, seafood, resorts, and local culture. I didn’t know much about this province previously, however, after listening to the presentation I was much more attuned to this region and would consider traveling there in the near future.
Of course, the WTC Tacoma office was advertising their November 2021 scheduled Vietnam trade mission where they will lead a team of business leaders to meet prominent Vietnamese government officials and factories.
